I'm from Kolkata, India. I've also lived in New Haven, Hyderabad, and Guntur.

I currently teach at MIT. I completed my PhD at Yale University under Prof. Joan Feigenbaum in 2016. Before coming to Yale, I received a BSc from St. Xavier's College, Kolkata. I did most of my schooling from St. Xavier's Collegiate School, Kolkata (I also attended Hyderabad Public School for a couple of years).

I cannot sing, am incurably lazy and easily distracted, and can eat phuchka faster than you can count. Debating is one of my favourite activities, as is reading. I speak Bengali, Sanskrit, Hindi, and English.
